Summary:
Under supervision of the Information Management Officer, the Data Officer will support with management of program data processes, such as beneficiary identification, verification, and monitoring. The Data Officer is a key technical role overseeing appropriate data entry, storage, processing and analysis, as well as application of technology to maximize efficiency of data collection and The Data Officer will work closely with the Information Management Officer (including both office and field based staff).
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Prepares source data for computer entry by compiling and sorting information; establishing entry priorities
  • Processes customer and account source documents by reviewing data for deficiencies; resolving discrepancies by using standard procedures or returning incomplete documents to the Database team leader for resolution.
  • Monitoring and supporting data entry clerks regarding the entry of data process and using other data collection tools.
  • Design and implement data collection tools for assessments such as Kobo collect and ODK.
  • Coordinate with Outreach team leaders for data collection and provision.
  • Checking incoming and outgoing entries to avoid duplication, unnecessary work and resource loss.
  • Providing teams with weekly/monthly needed data for reports.
  • Giving information/data to the team leaders on weekly.bi-weekly basis for reports
  • Maintains data entry requirements by following data program techniques and procedures
  • Secures information by completing database backups.
  • Preparing/Updating the cash tracking sheet
  • Maintains operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes.
  • Keeping information with confidentiality
  • Ability to assume multiple project responsibilities in a focused and dedicated manner.
  • Undertake any other tasks assigned by the Information Management Officer
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor degree in information technology or statistics;
  • Minimum 3 year experience in data processing and analyzing with NGOs;
  • Fluency in Kurdish, Arabic and English languages;
  • Familiar with using Microsoft Office suite, particularly Microsoft Excel and Access;
  • Willingness and ability to enforce compliance with QANDIL and donor policies and procedures is essential;
  • High level of personal integrity, honesty and transparency in all activities is essential;
  • Demonstrated ability to work quickly, accurately, meet deadlines, and process information in support of changing program activities is necessary.
