Background:
QANDIL is a Swedish non-profit, non-political, non-religious humanitarian aid organization that was founded in 1991 in Stockholm, Sweden. Having continuously operated in the Kurdistan Region ever since, QANDIL’s main priorities of work are construction and infrastructure activities, refugee and IDP initiatives, health, water, sanitation and hygiene, and capacity building. 
 
Job Description: 
Data Entry clerk will be responsible for analyzing data sets and finalizing the resulted outcome through different methods, tools and approaches such as inspecting, cleansing and sharing feedback with the database team leader. 
 
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Uphold QANDIL and UNHCR’s code of conduct, and ensure that all persons of concern are treated with dignity and respect, in accordance with humanitarian principles and human rights standards.  
  • Entering data for various projects of QANDIL as and when requested by the direct supervisor. 
  • Close interaction with the project managers for collecting and checking the data. 
  • Keep tracking and maintains copies of the existed different databases; and assist in data analysis through effective data retrieving and processing. 
  • Maintain proper filing system for the various project documents related to the data entry purposes both on hard and electronic copies.  
  • Assist other department in data entering if required. 
  • Maintaining proper records and filing system. 
  • Administration responsibilities; i.e., draft routine correspondence, scan documents, meeting room reservations, archive management, filling daily time sheet  
  • Assisting in office operations and general administration responsibilities. 
  • Assisting in preparations and arrangements of the office agenda. 
  • Prepares source data for computer entry by compiling and sorting information; establishing entry priorities.
  •  Processes customer and account source documents by reviewing data for deficiencies; resolving discrepancies by using standard procedures or returning incomplete documents to the team leader for resolution. 
  • Maintains data entry requirements by following data program techniques and procedures.  
  • Secures information by completing data base backups.  
  • Maintains operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes.  
  • Keeping information with confidentiality. 
  • Ability to assume multiple project responsibilities in a focused and dedicated manner 
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or related to Qandil Organization when needed. 

 


Required Qualifications (Education, Knowledge, and Skills):
  •  University Degree in IT; 
  • Minimum one year or two years’ experience in the same position or field; 
  • Fluency in Kurdish, Arabic & English languages; Ability to work effectively and harmoniously with colleagues from varied cultures and professional backgrounds;  
  • Ability to handle confidential matters, meet deadlines and work under pressure; 
  • Personal commitment, efficiency, flexibility, and drive for results. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, in addition to organizational skill.
