The overall purpose of the job
The post holder is responsible for the data entry of training information. This will include, entry of personnel attending courses, preparing course certification/qualification, course attendee photographs, organizing course materials, such as lesson plans, training management plans and course reports. This role is for the purposes listed above only.
 
Reporting structure
The Data Entry reports to STM. However, the incumbent may require some guidance from other MAG staff within the TMEU for the purpose of this role.
 
Detailed Responsibilities
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining the current database and to go through all TMEU archives and enter all necessary data to the database as directed.
  • Responsible for the filing and recording of all TMEU files, training records, course certificates, course reports and any other related documents.
  • Liaise with HR both in HO and Sectors on Technical staff qualifications/certification to enable inclusion into the TMEU database.
  • Maintain TMEU operational staff training records; and
  • Work on other TMEU related tasks assigned to the post-holder by the line manager.
  • Safeguarding

  • Policy, Equal Opportunities Policy and Policy on Modern Slavery
  • Report any Safeguarding concerns in accordance with MAG’s reporting options and guidelines
 
General Responsibilities
  • Work within the framework of MAG’s core values
  • Act as an ambassador for MAG
  • Contribute to other fundraising initiatives where appropriate.
  • Participate in meetings where requested.
  • Work in compliance with MAG’s Policies, including but not limited to, Equal Opportunities, Code of Conduct and Dignity at Work Policies.
  • Undertake and apply learning from appropriate training and development programmes.
  • Undertake any other duties as may be required.
 
Selection criteria
The post holder should be able to demonstrate the following attributes:
  • An understanding of NGOs and a commitment to humanitarian work.
  • Must be computer literate and demonstrate excellent database entry skills. Additional skills would require good MS Office, Word, Exel, Access and Powerpoint. (Formal qualification is necessary).
  • Well developed organisational skills.
  • Understanding of filing systems and file management.
  • Accuracy with figures and the ability to create charts and tables and identify trends.
  • Good written and spoken English, Arabic and Kurdish.
  • Self motivated with the ability to work as part of a team with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to travel/stay in the field when necessary.
