World Vision Kurdistan Region in Iraq Office is looking for a highly qualified and motivated person for the position of Data Assistant – Duhok
PURPOSE OF POSITION:
To ensure the food assistance project has database which is of integrity and properly targeting deserving beneficiaries of the project. And work closely with camp and municipality liaison officer.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Database
-
Ensure an up to date database of all beneficiaries in the project
-
Maintain updated backups month wise for all beneficiaries in different operational areas of the project
-
Preparing the BDLs and the lists of new scope cards and share them with the staff
Coordination and collaboration
-
Work closely with the distribution team on the complaints that are collected during the distribution days.

To co-ordinate closely with the field distribution teams and camp and municipality liaison officer to ensure beneficiaries distributed are registered and as per plan
-
Follow up with no-show cases beneficiaries, ascertaining the reasons
-
Follow up with URBAN cases, the beneficiaries who are actually living in camp but their names are not included.
Capacity development
-
Participate in capacity development of field team in checking accurately beneficiaries data
-
Participate in Data working group meetings to ensure clean beneficiary data
Other Roles
-
Perform any other duties as required by the Project Coordinator/Project Manager or his/her designee.

Ensure that full daily reports are sent to the Camp Manager and off camp focal point

Ensure project documentation is up to date and audit compliant

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Prospective candidates should have degree in IT/ Information Management/ higher education /Statistics/ Accounting or related.

Candidates should also have at least 1 years’ previous experience in a related field.

Good command of oral and written English and local language is must. Computer literacy is an added advantage.

Strong skills in Microsoft office especially database and MS Excel.

Must demonstrate willingness to learn and work with others as a team.

Strong interpersonal, communication skills and cross-cultural sensitivity to interact with staff and beneficiaries

Well-organized, self-motivated, solution oriented, independent and ability to work in a team.
