Purpose of position:
  • Interview beneficiaries, volunteers and families to determine individuals needs
  • Advocate on behalf of beneficiaries, making necessary referrals for service and assistance
  • Creation of a guide of NGOs with similar missions – include services we can refer beneficiaries to.
  • Responsible for creating and maintain welfare records and files including case management for tracking clients’ needs
  • Attend meeting related to job responsibilities
  • Assist youth project coordinator and project officer with the coordination of seasonal activities
  • Prepare for & conduct sessions for WV staff and volunteers on resources available.

Minimum education, training and experience requirements to qualify for the position:
  • Degree in areas of development work, development, psychology, or social work.
  • Previous experience with NGOs.
  • Willingness to be flexible with hours when necessary and able to travel often in the field (30% of the time).
  • Able to communicate in Arabic.
  • Effective in written and oral communication; able to speak and write with a high standard of English and ability to communicate in cross cultural contexts.
  • Computer literacy; Strong computer skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Relevant experience in case management
  • Personal Commitment to our Lord and Savior Christ
  • Team player with humility, ability to educate those around you on basic social working principles.
  • Knowledge of and ability to adhere to child protection procedures and confidentiality codes. 
  • Informed perspective in the fields of interfaith dialogue and cooperation vision and ability to work respectfully with various faith traditions.
  • 30 Per Cent in the office
  • 70 Per Cent in the field
