Position Summary:
Genel Energy is an independent E&P company listed on the main market of the London Stock Exchange Headquartered in London with offices in Ankara, Erbil, Morocco & Somaliland, Genel is one of the largest London-listed independent oil producers and is the largest holder of reserves and resources in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq.
The Contracts & Procurement Administrator role will report to the Contracts & Procurement Lead and based in our office in Erbil. The purpose of the role is to provide support to the C&P function in KRI to ensure all suppliers are monitored effectively.

Key Accountabilities:

Act as the focal point for registration and prequalification of contractors.

Coordinate the prequalification process with bidders and end users, compiles prequalification reports and initiate recommendations for approval by the Prequalification Committee

Maintain and update the database of contractors and suppliers qualified within the Commercial Directory

Compile input from Managers and End Users on the performance of various vendors / suppliers / contractors

Initiate recommendations for re-assessment of vendors based due to changes in performance, capability or time elapsed

Examine scope of work for completeness and consistency

Prepare comprehensive ITT packages

Perform evaluation of unpriced commercial aspects of the technical bid and evaluation of commercial bid

Perform contract administration activities - bank guarantees, insurances, invoices, etc.

Provide contractual advice to End Users and prepare contractual correspondence

Review and evaluate variations and claims, prepare recommendations for approval of management and prepare contract amendments, as required

Perform close-out of contractual matters upon completion.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

3-5 years contracts and procurement administration experience

Relevant Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Business Administration

Good English (spoken and written) is essential.

Working knowledge of Microsoft office Word, PowerPoint, Excel etc

Internally the candidate will be expected to work supportively and actively collaborate with all disciplines and functions whether in London, Ankara or at any Genel Energy locations in the KRI.
