We’re looking for a people person, detail-oriented individual to be the Community Manager at the Re:Coded Co-Working Space in Erbil. The co-working space is a workplace for teams of all sizes: entrepreneurs, freelancers, growing startups, designers, journalists and others. But it is more than an office space. It is a place where communities flourish, people collaborate and dreams come alive.
The Community Manager will be responsible for leading several activities at the co-working space, including the facilities management, procurement, members relations and customer support, crooms coordination, event organization and other administrative duties. You will be the face of the co-working space to the internal community - the person everyone trusts and loves to talk to.
You are the person that will help us make the co-working space a reference in the industry - nationally and regionally.

Key Responsibilities
Community Connector & Liaison
  • Be the community’s “go-to-person.” Internally, this means onboarding new community members, explaining policies and procedures, solving member issues as they arise and billing. Externally, this means responding to enquiries for people wishing to join the space via phone, email and social media, conducting tours, closing deals and raising awareness of the space in the community at large.
  • Design and develop community initiatives to create connections between members and Re:Coded alumni, including member introductions, event planning and networking efforts, both online and in-person.
  • In coordination with other members of the Re:Coded team, suggest and implement activities at the co-working space, including events, workshops, speaker sessions, and recreational activities.
  • Work to create an amazing customer experience within our community and for our members.

Marketing and Business Development
  • Take an active role in the growth and promotion of the co-working space and community through marketing, events, strategic meetings and generating leads with the startup community and other relevant organizations.
  • Constantly look for new offers and benefits for our growing community and convey the message to the members.
  • Assist in the development and management of marketing material for the co-working space, including but not limited to: social media campaigns, events, press-related items, guerrilla marketing promotions and blog writing.
  • Speak at conferences and panels to represent Re:Coded’s co-working space nationally, when required.

Operations and Administration
  • Ensure that the co-working space is fully operational, including opening and preparing the space each day and making sure that all processes are running smoothly.
  • Keep ahead of any repairs, maintenance, cleaning or updates required in the co-working space and resolve issues immediately as they arise (i.e.  insufficient cleaning products, malfunctioning conference room equipment, etc)
  • Coordinate procurement of office supplies with the Finance team and keep an updated inventory of all assets of the space.
  • Negotiate with vendors and manage vendor relationships.
  • Draft daily, weekly and monthly reports that outline community and sales progress.
  • Under the supervision of the Program Manager, help administer the co-working space budget and related expenses.
  • Manage a cleaning staff and receptionist.
  • Implement member safety plans (i.e. fire and emergency plans).

The Ideal Candidate
  • You are an incredible communicator - online, in-person and everything in between.
  • You are a natural people person. Everyone loves talking to you and you find yourself at your best when dealing with people.
  • You have a positive, entrepreneurial attitude. We’re going to have fun here and hope you do too.
  • You believe in our mission and represent our core values through everyday interactions with members, customers and partners.
  • You are extremely detail-oriented, organized and proactive. This means you think about every little issue before it comes up and are always planning ahead.
  • You love to solve problems and believe that no problem is too big or too small to handle and should get priority right away.
  • You demonstrate integrity, dependability, responsibility, accountability, self-awareness, work ethic, and empathy.
  • You are a Slack ninja and can make magic happen with online communication.

Requirements
  • At least 2 years of work experience in the private sector or tech humanitarian organization.
  • At least 1 year of customer service and sales experience required. Cold-outreach experience a plus.
