PURPOSE OF POSITION:

To conduct monitoring of the cash disbursed to the targeted beneficiaries of the cash project, set up monitoring according to World Vision standard procedures and accurate documentation on cash distributions. And assist team leader in effectively coordinate implementation in the Refugees camps by registration complaints and ensuring compliance to Donor and World Vision requirements /guidelines

The holder of the position should communicate World Vision’s ethos and demonstrate a quality of spiritual life that is an example to others.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Implementation

  • Registering all the complaints related to raising complaints , registration to benefit from the food project that the refugees will raised

  • Answer refugees’ questions related to the feedback about the updated data or registration that may have,

  • Assist team leaders during the distribution to collect all the complaints related to Data updating and registration requests to benefit from the food project.

  • Collecting beneficiaries’ complaints related to targeting activities by registering their details to a special UNHCR data platform. 

  • Ensure dealing with the data compliance to Humanitarian Accountability standards.

  • Communicate with beneficiaries In order to inform them about any activities that need their physically present and approach WV.

  • Ensure that the entitlement are correct quantities for the planned beneficiaries.

  • Coordinate with camp managers, beneficiaries and other stakeholders to conduct SIM distribution.

  • Ensure that the cash entitlement are distributed to each beneficiary family and beneficiary must sign or thumb print next to their names on the receipts as proof that they received the cash.

  • Monitoring cash out process by visiting all the POSs (Point of Sales)

Resource Management

  • Managing the data and WV recourse in a very professional and confidential way.

  • Using the UNHCR platform in a proper way.

Coordination and collaboration

  • Closely coordination with other team members at the distribution site

  • Closely coordination with MEAL team to ensure collecting the updates or registration of any special cases not able to visit the distribution site

  • Participate in regular  trainings conducted by WFP and UNHCR

  • Closely coordination with WFP and UNHCR data person during uploading the data

Capacity development

  • Participate in training and sensitization of beneficiaries on distribution and encourage them to use the entitlement for food need.

Other Roles

  • Represent WV at district level NGO in food assistance/ Security, coordination  forums as advised by project  coordinator

  •  Arrange and Conduct FGDs as required to disseminate any key message to beneficiaries  and have good relationship with community

  • Perform any other duties as required by the team leader, Project Coordinator or his/her designee

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Business Admiration or any other related qualification.

  • Previous experience in a related field.

  • Experience in Food Assistance projects.

  • Strong communication skills Verbal and written English/Arabic and Kurdish.

  • Report writing skills and computer knowledge.

  • Well-developed stakeholder networking skills.

  • Knowledge of commodities & logistics operations, specifically those that relate to distributions, handling, reporting, tracking, monitoring etc.

  • Ability to work with many Data platform and data sheets      

  • Stays open to internal and external feedback

  • Ability to work under minimum supervision

  • Good knowledge and experience of how to work under pressure.

  • Strong Computer knowledge

Work Environment

Complete Travel and/or Work Environment statements if applicable.

  • Office environment:  typical field based

  • Travel: Domestic travel is required.

  • On-call:   During normal working hours unless there is an emergency
