PURPOSE OF POSITION:
The Case management supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the case management component of the project and will directly supervise all the work of the social workers who provide holistic case management support to vulnerable children or children with protection concerns in the project targeted locations
 
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Providing Technical support to all project activities  implemented
  • Provide age-appropriate case management services and psychosocial support to all cases identified and referred by the static and mobile team ensuring strict adherence to the core GBV guiding principles (safety and security, confidentiality, respect);
  • Conduct case planning and managing case conferences with the social worker and CPIE specialist.
  • Maintain a collaborative relationship with protection cluster and all organizations working in the local context to facilitate referrals and joint activities, while upholding WVI standard in GBV programming;
  • Complete monthly activity reports and develop and maintain work plans to achieve activities;
  • Ensure that ethical and sound data collection and information management systems are in place for all cases identified and referred.
  • Trouble-shoot all challenges related to case management and ensure to resolve all the cases with complicated issues and other administrative challenges.
Case Documentation, management and archiving
  • Review all cases documentation and ensure that all cases write-ups are with the right quality and tidied well.
  • Ensure all case management forms are printed and made available for the social workers in the different field sites for the project.
  • Ensure that all case management files are stored in safe cabinet and locked properly.
  • Ensure all the SOP for information sharing are observed and regularly updated. 
Capacity Building provision for project team
  • Deliver capacity building activities on PSS, and Psychosocial first aid to project staff, Case identification and referring mechanisms
  • Coordination activities with CFS staff, ensuring the PSS elements are well integrated in the programme as per needs identified together.
Staff management
  • Ensure effective and efficient overseeing of the social workers
  • With the support of the Project Coordinator develop social worker  planning and provide guidance and support to staff in their role/tasks
  • Keep a positive, flexible and dynamic work environment
Reporting and Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E)
  • Prepare weekly and monthly reports to share with Project Coordinator
  • Keep record of weekly minutes of meeting


Minimum education, training and experience requirements to qualify for the position:
  • Bachelor Degree in Sociology, social science and Education in emergency is needed for this position.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in education including the ability to conceptualize, develop, plan and manage NFE programs that include curricula and materials design, teacher mobilization and training, monitoring
  • Previous working experience in Child protection is mandatory requirement. Strong Management and team leaders is necessary.
  • Fluent in both English and Arabic (speaking and writing).
  • Computer literate mainly in Microsoft Office package.
  • Excellent communication skills with children of different age groups and adults (staff and community members)

  • Good interpersonal skills and cross-cultural sensitivity
  • Ability to work in difficult and high risk situations
  • Ability to cope and work under pressure
  • Well-organized, self-motivated and ability to work in a team
  • Familiar with Humanitarian Principles and standards
  • Familiar with sector minimum standards and guidelines such as INEE Minimum Standards; familiar with Kurdish and Iraqi education system and UN cluster system (high asset)
  • Full adherence to World Vision Child Protection, Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest policies.
  • Work experience with humanitarian agencies.
  • 40 Per Cent travel required
