The Area Manager is responsible for implementing the sales & trade marketing plans insuring the achievement of the products area targets by properly coaching & monitoring the area's Trade Marketing Representatives.Performs his/her duties in accordance with the Malia Holding goals and policies.
Tasks & Responsibilities
Contributes with Trade Marketing Manager in the elaboration of the overall marketing and sales plans ensuring:
Adequate plan implementation
Target achievement trough a wider distribution, strengthening the relationship with key accounts c- Effective team management
Implements territory plans and routing schedules for the Customer Consultants.
Controls the effectiveness of the sales operations through the financial performance of sales. Has the responsibility of meeting or exceeding the budgeted profit levels.
Audits randomly the cash flow V/S stock situation of team members.
Keeps Trade Marketing Manager proactively informed regarding products’ performance and problems and opportunities. Submits a monthly report in that respect.
Ensure all manpower resources are appropriate, motivated, developed, trained in order to manage own territory efficiently. Ensures that products, promotional plans and sales strategies are well-understood and implemented in order to give the optimum level of impact.
Manages, organizes & coaches the TMRs to fulfill their job description correctly. Initiates contacts for the purpose of finding new outlets and increasing sales.
Monitors changes in the market situation. Recommend to the Trade Marketing Manager actions to meet the changing circumstances.
Ensures that stock is well managed in coordination with Trade Marketing Manager.
Participates in investigations and adjustments of non-conformities and customer complaints. Maintains strong relationships with clients, particularly key accounts.
Participates with Trade Marketing Manager in the recruitment of TMRs, the team members performance appraisal & evaluation of training needs.
Makes sure that the team members are applying the company’s internal regulations. Promotes positively company’s image among Sales outlets.
Provide leadership and management to the day to day operations of the Sales team.
Develop area sales plans in support of organizational structures, strategies and objectives. Coordinate with all commercial division for work related issues.
Establishes performance goals for all sales team, employees and monitors performance goals on a continual basis.
Achieve area sales target
Develops and maintains contact with all major Corporate Businesses to build a relationship that supports the Company’s objectives.
University Degree in Sales & Marketing or semi related fields
3-5 years in Sales and Marketing with supervisory role in sales and distribution companies Demonstrated leadership ability to lead and motivate people.
Excellent technical skills in strategic and sales planning.
Management ability to organize and manage multiple priorities. Ability to work under pressure
Excellent MS Office skills
Excellent understanding of Managing Distribution Channels
Energetic and able to handle multiple tasks under pressure & meet deadlines Trustworthy, loyal, maintains confidentiality

Qualifications & Knowledge
Ability to compose correspondence using good grammar and composition skills
Good knowledge of Word (50 wpm), Excel, Power Point, Lotus Notes and custom company software Excellent knowledge of Group procedures & practices
Bilingual (Kurdish, Arabic) English is a plus.
