Accounting Specialist

Responsibilities: 
  • Maintain the accounting records of the company 
  • Perform monthly and annual closing procedures, including closing of accruals, bank reconciliation, and  depreciation 
  • Prepare AR and AP aging reports and follow up on pending invoices 
  • Prepare the draft financial statements and management reports 
  • Communicate with contractors, clients and suppliers about accounting matters 
  • Ensure proper documentation of entries recorded by the payroll staff 
  • Validate accounting entries, bank letters, and payroll sheets 
 
Qualifications: 
  • BA in accounting or a related field 
  • 3-5 years of experience in accounting, preferably including advanced payroll accounting. 
  • Advanced accounting knowledge covering financial statements and standard accounting reports. IFRS 
  • knowledge is a big plus. (will be tested) 
  • Advanced in Excel 
  • Fluency in English and Kurdish or Arabic.
