Responsibilities:
- Maintain the accounting records of the company
- Perform monthly and annual closing procedures, including closing of accruals, bank reconciliation, and depreciation
- Prepare AR and AP aging reports and follow up on pending invoices
- Prepare the draft financial statements and management reports
- Communicate with contractors, clients and suppliers about accounting matters
- Ensure proper documentation of entries recorded by the payroll staff
- Validate accounting entries, bank letters, and payroll sheets
Qualifications:
- BA in accounting or a related field
- 3-5 years of experience in accounting, preferably including advanced payroll accounting.
- Advanced accounting knowledge covering financial statements and standard accounting reports. IFRS knowledge is a big plus. (will be tested)
- Advanced in Excel
- Fluency in English and Kurdish or Arabic.
