NGCI Group is looking for an Accountant to oversee general accounting operations by controlling and verifying the company’s financial transactions. The Accountant will follow up on AP and/or AR aging reports and ensure proper execution of accounting processes.

Responsibilities include:

Verify, allocate, post and reconcile accounts payable and receivable transactions

Ensure proper execution of accounting policies and procedures.

Prepare and follow up on AP and AR aging reports (collection and settlement).

Produce error-free accounting reports and present their results.

Spot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and spending.

Manage accounting assistants and bookkeepers.

Oversee cash processes and cash counts.
-
Direct internal and external audits to ensure compliance.

Plan, assign and review staff’s work and progress.

Support month-end and year-end close process.

Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.

Ensure compliance with IFRS and company’s policies.

Liaise with our Financial Manager to improve financial procedures.
Requirements:

3-5 years of experience in accounting. Banking experience preferred.

BS degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant.

Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures under IFRS.

Familiarity with financial accounting statements.

Advanced MS Excel skills.

Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills.
-
Candidates pursuing relevant certification (e.g. CMA or CIA) will be preferred.
