mselect is looking to hire an IT Business Planner for an international oil & gas operator in Basrah. Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience and be fluent in English and Arabic.
The IT business Planner with expertise in both Information Technology and Business Administration for the role of IT Business Analyst. IT Business Analysts are responsible for enhancing the quality of IT products and services, tracing invoice/project/contractor performance data to inform business decisions and finding project solutions to business needs, among other duties. The best IT Business planner have exceptional interpersonal skills as they need to act as a communication link among the IT internal sections, and external, such as finance and even the contractors.
  • Liaising between the IT department and external parties, such as finance, CPL and 3rd party contractors
  • Liaising among the internal sections of IT department, such as Project team
  • Acting as an information source and communicator between business branches
  • Understanding the procurement process and represent IT to be in business evaluation
  • Understanding strategic business needs and plans for growth
  • Tracing the data of invoice of IT projects vs IT budget management (vowd)
  • Analysing the completion percentage of budget
  • Utilizing IT data for business insights
  • Managing the weekly/monthly project status and contractor performance status
  • Analysing data to inform business and project management leads
  • BSc Degree in Engineering, Information Management, Business management
  • Excellent problem-solving skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • English – upper intermediate (verbal & written)
  • 5 years of experience in a technology-driven role is a plus

  • Demonstrable experience in the ability to prepare meaningful reports, in clear and concise English, utilizing information and data received from third parties
