About SEED Foundation: SEED Foundation (SEED) is a registered charity in Erbil, Iraq, whose mission is to promote Kurdistan Region’s (KRI) social, educational and economic development, Kurdish culture, human rights, and to address the humanitarian needs of the residents of the region. SEED is working to protect and empower vulnerable women and girls impacted by the current crisis, particularly survivors of sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV) and those that have escaped ISIL captivity by ensuring access to the quality care. Working across the KRI, SEED’s two-pronged approach will 1) increase local capacity to provide mental health and psychosocial support services (MHPSS) through the provision of education, training, and supervision, and 2) expand access to high quality MHPSS services through delivering a standard package of psychosocial support services to all survivors seeking assistance in the KRI.
